From being to acting: Kant and Fichte on intellectual intuition

چکیده
Fichte assigns ‘intellectual intuition’ a new meaning after Kant. But in 1799, his doctrine of intellectual intuition is publicly deemed indefensible by Kant and nihilistic Jacobi. I propose to defend Fichte’s against these charges, leaving aside whether it captures what he calls the ‘spirit’ transcendental idealism. do so articulating three problems that motivate redirection from being acting: (1) regress problem, which states reflecting on empirical facts consciousness leads only further cannot yield first principle; (2) rhapsody categories form haphazard set lack necessity unless they derive (3) nihilism principle lie outside our cognition it, lest be cause and, first, all actions, reducing us machines.
